Cherished as far back as the time of the ancient Egyptian pharaohs, Emerald is exalted as a talisman of good fortune, believed to bring health and wealth to its owner. Traditionally thought to protect and renew relationships, they are upheld as a symbol of devotion, contentment and undying love.

A beautiful emerald adorned First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy's engagement ring and accented many breath taking items in her jewelry box. Said to have been Cleopatra's favorite gemstone, mummies were often buried with emeralds to grant the departed with immortal youth. Emeralds were also popular in ancient Rome and Emperor Nero wore emerald sun glasses to watch the gladiators.
